Ads Analyzer — managing ChatGPT ads
Connect your OpenAI Ads account, monitor account health, set up conversion measurement, and read revenue signals.
Updated 2026-10-12
Ads Analyzer is Maya's manager for OpenAI Ads — the sponsored placements inside ChatGPT answers. It connects to your ad account, scores its health, and brings campaign setup, measurement, and revenue context into one place next to your organic AI visibility.
Connecting
- In OpenAI Ads Manager (ads.openai.com), open the Settings tab and create an API key — it is scoped to a single ad account.
- Paste the key into Ads Analyzer. It's stored encrypted (AES-256-GCM) and used server-side only.
The workspace
- Account health score (0–100) with the specific checks that need attention and a recommended next action.
- A performance dashboard, plus focused panels for Measurement, Campaigns (Ads / Ad groups / Campaigns), Performance, Settings, Revenue, and Health.
Creating campaigns
The create dialog covers the essentials: a searchable multi-country target picker, a lifetime budget (minimum enforced), and a campaign goal. Campaigns created here appear in OpenAI Ads Manager like any other.
Conversion measurement
Three layers, configured in the Measurement panel:
- Pixel — web conversion sources for on-site events.
- Server-side API keys — for conversions-API style reporting (keys stored encrypted).
- Event settings — which event types count (e.g. lead created, purchase).
Measurement is the part most accounts get wrong; the health score flags missing pieces explicitly.
Revenue and GA4
With Google Analytics 4 connected (via Visitor Analytics), the Revenue panel shows sessions, purchases, and reported revenue for ChatGPT-sourced traffic over the last 30 days, in your GA4 property's timezone and currency.
Read it carefully: this is combined organic + paid ChatGPT traffic, not attributed ad revenue — so Maya deliberately does not display a ROAS until paid-click matching is reliable. For mobile apps, AppsFlyer and Adjust are supported via their own setup (no direct sync yet).
Relationship to Ads Library
Ads Analyzer manages your ads; Ads Library shows everyone's ads that surfaced in your tracked prompts — including competitors'. Use the Library for intelligence and the Analyzer for operations.
